Signalling work covers a range of activities and includes :
- The procurement, installation, operation, management and removal of temporary speed limit (TSL) signals.
- Installation and removal of track Electrical Safety Systems (ESS).
- Technical inspections such as verifying that signalling systems have been correctly installed, in compliance with specifications and are therefore operationally ready to fulfil their safety requirements.
- Performing operating tests to make sure that the safety conditions set out in the specifications precisely meet the safety requirements they are designed to cover.
